One of the most striking elements of Stranger Things is the look of the Upside Down, which draws attention to its realistic and original atmosphere. In five seasons, the dimension parallel to Hawkins has become one of the greatest symbols of the series.

Stranger Things: the scandal that removed Winona Ryder from Hollywood
To form the vines spread throughout the Upside Down, the team used pool spaghetti. In total, approximately 44 km of these buoys were used, in addition to approximately 130 km of rope. 84 km of tendrils, small spiral-shaped branches, were also produced.
Inverted World Vines were created using pool floats
To increase realism, all elements received a layer of thickened polyurethane, a plastic with a texture similar to rubber. The coating was done manually and approximately 70% of the spaghetti was prepared by a single team member.
The Inverted World scenarios were designed to be reusable and modular, allowing for dismantling, recovery and reuse of structures.
Demorgorgon
Netflix said that in just five weeks of filming, the crew created more special effects than in the previous season, resulting in the most effects-heavy episodes of the entire series.
In addition to the sets, the team also built a life-size Demogorgon for the series. The sculpture, which represented the already dead monster, was made by 3D printing and weighed between 79 and 100 kg. To carry them during recording, at least four people were required on a stretcher.
