Bolsa Família payments in 2026 begin on January 19 and continue until December 23, with the amounts always released on the last ten working days of each month, according to the schedule published by the government.
Payment dates are defined by the MDS (Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and the Fight against Hunger), responsible for managing the program, in partnership with Caixa Econômica Federal, which makes the deposits.
As every year, payment of the benefit is staggered according to the last digit of the NIS (Social Identification Number) appearing on the program card. Recipients with a final amount of NIS 1 receive the first day of the monthly calendar, while those with a final amount of NIS 0 receive the last day.
In January, deposits will be made between the 19th and 30th. The last opus of the year is scheduled for December 23, following the model adopted in recent years, with a release before Christmas.

What is the Family Stock Exchange?
Bolsa Família is an income transfer program created in 2003, as part of the Fome Zero program, aimed at families experiencing poverty and extreme poverty. The benefit is paid by the Caixa Econômica Federal, while the program is managed by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and the Fight against Hunger.
Who can receive the Bolsa Família?
Families registered in the CadÚnico (Single Registry of Social Programs) with a monthly income per person of up to R$218 are entitled to this benefit.
How is family income calculated?
To calculate per capita income, add up the income of all people who live in the same house – such as parents, spouses, partners, children, stepchildren or siblings – and divide the total by the number of residents.
This calculation does not include compensation for material or moral damage, benefits temporarily paid by public authorities and amounts received under income transfer programs, such as Bolsa Família itself.
What are the rules for continuing to benefit from the allowance?
In addition to the income criterion, families must respect conditions in the areas of health and education. These include prenatal care for pregnant women, compliance with the national vaccination schedule and monitoring the nutritional status of children under seven years old.
A minimum school attendance of 60% for children aged four and five and 75% for children and adolescents aged six to 18 who have not yet completed basic education is also required. When the child registers for school or gets vaccinated, the family must inform them that they are a beneficiary of Bolsa Família.
Does the registration need to be updated?
Yes. To avoid losing the allowance, families must keep their data up to date in CadÚnico. The update must be carried out by the responsible family at a service point in the assistance network, such as Cras (Social Assistance Reference Center), or at a Single Register service point.
How to withdraw the Bolsa Família?
Payment is made by Caixa Econômica Federal, mainly through the Caixa Tem application, which allows you to transfer money without the need to go to a branch.
Withdrawals can be made at ATMs, lottery points, Caixa Aqui correspondents and Caixa branches. The beneficiary can also use the Bolsa Família card or the Citizen Card.
What is the minimum value of the Bolsa Família?
The program guarantees a minimum amount of R$600 per family. Added to this are additional payments depending on the composition of the family.
What extras can be paid?
The Bolsa Família includes the Citizenship Income Allowance, which pays R$142 per family member. If the sum of the amounts does not reach R$600, the Supplementary Benefit covers the difference up to the floor.
There is also the early childhood allowance, of R$150 per child from zero to six years old, and the variable family allowance, of R$50 for each child from seven to 12 years old, for adolescents from 12 to 18 years old and for pregnant women.
Families with babies under six months can also benefit from the Nutriz family variable benefit, worth R$50, designed to increase the feeding capacity of the breastfeeding mother.
