
Place number 4 of the Investigation Section of the District Court of Elche, former Instruction Court number 4, agreed this Thursday on provisional arrest, communicated and without bail for the detainee for his alleged connection with the fire which broke out on Monday afternoon in a building in Crevillent (Alicante) and in which a 25-year-old girl died and a 33-year-old man was injured.
As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), the man, neighbor of the building and brought to court this Thursday, is being investigated in an open case for the crimes of arson, murder and wounding.
Civil Guard agents arrested the man for his alleged link to the fire that broke out at the property. The territorial team of the Judicial Police of Santa Pola took charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances and the reason for the fire.
The 25-year-old victim had to be resuscitated twice by the medical team, but ultimately died at the hospital where she had been transferred, as reported at the time andl Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU). The other injured person treated, aged 33, was evacuated to Elche hospital with a guarded prognosis.
60 people were expelled
The fire broke out around 8 p.m. Monday in a house of a second height of a building of three floors on Al-Shafra Street, according to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium, which rescued six people, four from the facade and two from inside the building, the deceased and the other man.

Two command units were also mobilized, a heavy rural bomb, a heavy mother bomba light urban pump, an escalator and a personal transport van with a sergeant, three corporals and ten firefighters from Crevillent, Elche, Almoradí and Elda parks who declared the fire extinguished on Tuesday around 1:21 a.m.
