2025 said goodbye with pure heat. So strong that the temperature reached 38 degrees after midday, although in an image released by local meteorologist Juan Ayoroa at the weather station in the forest, the temperature was 47.1°C at 3 p.m.
As if that wasn’t enough, at 1 p.m. the National Meteorological Service (SMN) released the ranking of cities with the highest temperature records across the country, and our region was once again among the hottest. According to the official survey, La Plata reached 32°C, with a temperature sensation of 33.7°C, surpassing the city of Buenos Aires and other places in the AMBA.
The truth is that the New Year brings good news, as the SMN announces that relief is coming today and extreme temperatures like those of the last few days will not be recorded. The agency forecasts a maximum of 28 degrees this Thursday, January 1, with partly cloudy skies and wind speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour, blowing from the southeast and turning east.
For tomorrow, good conditions are also forecast in La Plata, as there will be pleasant maximum temperatures of 25°C, while on Saturday it would reach 26°C in the afternoon, although no rain is expected.
