BRAZILIA — ONE Federal police (PF) determined that Eduardo Bolsonaro returns to the position of clerk he occupied before being elected to the Chamber of Deputies.
The measure, signed by the Deputy Director of People Management, Licínio Nunes de Moraes Netto, was published in the Official Journal of the Union this Friday 2.
The PF declared the end of Eduardo’s exclusion from the company, since his mandate as federal deputy was revoked on December 18. As a result, the license loses its effect.
The return to power, specifies the declaratory act, has “exclusive declarative purposes and regularization of the functional situation”, and the unjustified absence “may give rise to the adoption of appropriate administrative and disciplinary measures”.
Eduardo has lived in Texas, United States, since March 2025. At the time, he took a leave of absence from the House to coordinate with the White House on sanctions against the Federal Supreme Court (STF) due to investigations against his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
Eduardo’s license expired in July, when his absences from House sessions began to be recorded. On December 9, the President of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), declared that the parliamentarian at the time had reached a number of absences “sufficient” for his parliamentary mandate to be revoked. The Chamber’s Board of Directors revoked Eduardo’s mandate on December 18.
Eduardo held the position of PF clerk between 2010 and 2014. He worked in the departments of Guajará-Mirim (RO), Guarulhos (SP), São Paulo and Angra dos Reis (RJ), before taking office as a federal deputy, according to his biography published on the Chamber’s website. He graduated in law from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Contacted, Eduardo did not respond.
