As in recent years, the BigFucking Party started in a remote region of Spain and threatens to last until Three Kings Day. Attempts by the Civil Guard have failed to prevent the participants in this illegal party from settling anywhere in the country; and these finally settled near the Cenajo reservoir, in Albacete, between the municipalities of Férez and Hellín. Some 300 armed institute agents are now monitoring ravewhich has so far gone without incident.
The first day of this macro electronic music festival – which brought together more than 1,000 vehicles, caravans and vans – took place normally, according to Civil Guard sources. Agents from the Albacete command and people displaced from other provinces, such as Madrid, Murcia, Valencia or Seville, were deployed in the area.
The area is closed to prevent more people and vehicles from entering, while ensuring the safety of nearby communication routes. The AB-408 highway is closed from kilometer 0 to kilometer 12.2, according to information from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT).
The first movements of this rave were detected last Tuesday evening, when a large number of vehicles began to arrive in Tobarra (Albacete), many of them caravans and vans, coming from other countries, such as France and Denmark, with the intention of settling in the Cenajo reservoir.
Initially, the Civil Guard managed to disperse them in the early hours of Tuesday to Wednesday and the party participants tried to move to the municipality of Cordovilla, in the neighboring town of Tobarra, but they eventually returned to the Cenajo reservoir, where they managed to start the party late on Wednesday, December 31.
At the beginning of 2025, this macro-party, which does not have any type of permit or authorization, was held near Ciudad Real airport, which brought together thousands of people in vans and campers for six days. In previous years, the chosen destinations were Fuente Álamo, in the Murcia region, and La Peza, in Granada.
These types of meetings are usually convened privately, through messaging and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook groups such as Teknival. They involve the installation of sound equipment, stages, shops and fast food stands. Despite this, year after year it is not possible to identify the organizers who return with their party as New Year’s Eve approaches.
