Record worked at a fast pace to develop a new program for Tom Cavalcante, after having encountered execution difficulties with Acerte or Caia. In an attempt to overcome the situation, the production began to re-invite participants who had already taken the stage, but without success. As a result, the recordings ended up being filled predominantly with “less relevant” personalities, influencers and sub-celebrities, which affected the weight of the casting and the appeal of the product.
Given the scenario, Record decided to act quickly. The order now is to implement a new format for Tom Cavalcante, described behind the scenes as a mix of competition between two celebrity teams with talk show moments.
The project was developed in haste, with a team mobilized full-time, a real task force to ensure that the comedian remained on the air with a product that delivered better artistic and commercial benefits.
About Hit or Fall
Acerte or Caia is a game show broadcast by Record since August 2024. In the format, a main participant faces ten opponents and answers questions on varied topics, having 30 seconds to guess the proposed word.
He starts with three lives and chooses who to challenge. If it hits, it knocks down the chosen opponent, who falls into a hole. If the opponent succeeds, the leader loses a life. The prize accumulates and can reach up to R$300,000 in the final round. However, if the leader loses all his lives, he falls into the hole and leaves the game, taking all the accumulated value.
