After the success of previous editions, the 2026 competition retains its usual formatwhich received great acceptance among fans and audiences, providing a unique platform for young bullfighters to demonstrate their talent.
The XII edition of the Certamen Alfarero de Plata 2026 will include three qualifying bullfights with six bullfighters each, a semi-final with the six best-ranked bullfights and a grand final with the three best bullfighters, where the winner of the competition will be decided.
All bullfights will take place in the Arena of “La Sagra” during the months of March, April and May 2026.
The competition is open to students of bullfighting schools and to individual candidates registered in the Register of Bullfighting Professionals, without distinction of gender or nationality. Among the requirements are a minimum age of 16 and a maximum of 21; having made his brilliant debut in bullfights without picadors with erales, without having yet fought with horses.

The Erales of the prestigious stud farms will take part: Víctor Huertas, Hermanos Sánchez de León, Carlos Serrano, Los Mimbrales, Toros de Castilla, La Olivilla and La Candiles.
The draw to determine the order of intervention and distribution of livestock will take place during the XXV Bullfighting Days, an event that will reflect the municipality’s commitment to promoting bullfighting culture and the search for new values.
Villaseca de la Sagra reaffirms its work in favor of bullfighting, combining tradition, culture and support for new generations, thus consolidating itself as a reference in the national bullfighting field.
