Storm Francis hit the Canary Islands with intense rain, winds of up to 105 kilometers per hour and snow at Teidein a curious image with which the archipelago received 2026.

Even if no major incident has been recorded, the Emergency Plan remains activated on several islands, alerting on the evolution of the storm. In Tenerife there was closure of the Teide cable car with the presence of snow above 2,700 meters above sea level and the closure of several roads, as well as the closure to traffic in the Teide National Park.
Currently, Storm Francis has left snow on the summit of Teide, as well as small landslides on the roads.
