Vice Delcy Rodríguez said she did not know “where Maduro is” and demanded that the US “give life faith” to the Chavista leader and his wife Cilia Flores

The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguezsaid this Saturday, January 3, 2026 that “The whereabouts of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores are unknown”and demanded that the United States show a “faith for life” after the early morning military attack on the Caribbean country by both.

“Given this brutal situation and this brutal attack, we do not know the whereabouts of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.” Rodríguez explained in an audio broadcast on television.

Minutes earlier, US President Donald Trump said his army had captured Maduro and his wife and driven them out of Venezuela after launching a “large-scale attack” against the Caribbean nation.
