The Mega da Virada draw, scheduled for this Wednesday (12/31) at 10 p.m., is behind schedule and has not yet started. According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the delay is due to the record number of bets on the competition, whose prize will be worth one billion reais.
There is still no prediction for the start of the draw. Watch live:
The six tens will be published in the Metropolises after the end of the draw.
It is worth remembering that unlike other competitions, Mega da Virada does not accumulate. If no one reaches six tens, the R$1 billion prize will be shared among everyone who matches the corner – and so on.
The initially planned value of the Mega da Virada prize was R$850 million, but was updated this Monday (12/22), to R$1 billion. Caixa reported that this year’s value is 57% higher than that paid in 2024 at Mega da Virada. That year, 635.4 million reais were distributed among the eight winners.
Values of Mega da Virada over the last 5 years
2024 – BRL 635.4 million (8 winners) 2023 – BRL 588.89 million (5 winners) 2022 – BRL 541.9 million (5 winners) 2021 – BRL 378.1 million (2 winners) 2020 – BRL 325.2 million (2 winners)
The first Mega da Virada took place in 2009. Since then, 130 punters have reached the six tens which guaranteed millionaire prizes. The most drawn numbers were:
10 (five times); 5, 33 and 36 (four times); 3, 17, 20, 29, 34, 41, 56 and 58 (three times).
Unlike regular competitions, the Mega da Virada prize does not accumulate. If no one reaches six tens, the amount will be divided between the punters who succeed in the corner and, if necessary, between the other bands.
