The Minister of Security of Buenos Aires, Javier Alonsoaired this Sunday on his channel YouTube a spot featuring members of the Buenos Aires police and fire department to start this Operation from Sun to Sun 2025/2026the deployment of security, health and transport means planned for the summer season in tourist destinations and strategic points in the province of Buenos Aires.
The three-minute video begins with a message from practical between agents. “Attention to all employees with news,” can be heard on the other side. “Yes, QRV operator, here is a copy of the red center of Mar del Plata,” replies the cashier before receiving confirmation: “Everyone is ready. In the final part, the video shows the family’s arrival in Mar del Plata, with a photo in front of the city sign and archive footage of operations from previous seasons as well as images of carnivals, festivals and tourist activities. The Governor Axel Kicillof This Friday he led the presentation of Operation Sol a Sol 2025/26 in Santa Clara del Mar as part of the start of the summer season. The plan envisages a comprehensive deployment of security, health and transportation in tourist destinations and strategic points in the provincewith the participation of various sectors of the government and local authorities of Buenos Aires.
“Today we launch one of the largest Sol-a-Sol operations in history: all sectors of the provincial state are dedicated to caring for the safety and health of the millions of Argentines who enjoy their holidays in the province of Buenos Aires,” said Kicillof, who stressed that the initiative is being carried out “despite the economic suffocation” and with the aim of guaranteeing the right to rest.
In terms of security, the operation will have more than 20,000 police officers, 200 new patrol cars and 60 motorcycles that will carry out preventive tasks on the Atlantic coast, the mountains and the lakes of Buenos Aires.. In addition, logistical and technological resources will be strengthened on key routes to prevent traffic accidents, monitor transport and carry out alcohol testing. “We will be present throughout the province so that our people can rest and have the peace and quiet they deserve,” Alonso said for his part.
The health equipment includes 35 ambulances, a medical helicopter and 18 positions from the Marea Sanitaria program, as well as strengthening the tourist assistance system for emergencies. “We have strengthened the guards, traumatology and emergencies, we have increased the fleet of ambulances and health workers to care for every tourist,” said the head of the health portfolio, Nicolás Kreplak.
Finally, the campaign is complemented by measures to promote tourism, culture and trade. There will be ReCreo hostels, free cultural activities, Banco Provincia benefits through the DNI account and presence at popular festivals. “While the national government abandons its responsibility to promote local tourism, the province is redoubling its efforts to maintain an important activity and guarantee a good season,” concluded the Minister of Production, Science and Technology, Augusto Costa.
