Fabinho Soldado leaves future open after Corinthians title: ‘Let’s line up’

After winning the Copa do Brasil, Fabiano Soldado did not guarantee his stay at Corinthians. At the party on the Maracanã pitch shortly after the 2-1 victory against Vasco, Timão’s head of football said he would meet club president Osmar Stábile in the coming days.

“I have a contract until 2026. It is true that I already had a conversation with the president more than a month ago. He knows what I think. Certainly next week we will sit down to talk and align everything that needs to be aligned. I have already told him my intention. The moment is to celebrate and enjoy”, he explained.

It is worth remembering that the leader faced strong political pressure in 2025 and received questions about his work. Thus, the professional was also categorical in speaking about the political crisis the club is facing.

“We need to improve several other things to continue to be strong, including the political side of the club. There are people within the club who are working against Corinthians,” he added.

Thus, with this victory, the men of coach Dorival Júnior secured a place for the group stage of the next Libertadores. Additionally, they are in the Brazilian Super Cup decider against Flamengo, who won the Brasileirão title.
