Restrictions on heavy vehicles in the capital of São Paulo continue to apply normally during this period
THE rotation municipal vehicle for automobiles in city of São Paulo is suspended from this Monday 22, due to the low flow of vehicles in the last days of December and early January, according to the Traffic Engineering Company (CET).
Comes back into force in January
The suspension is valid until January 9, 2026coming back into force the same day January 12, 2026, a Monday.

Municipal rotation
The rotation of vehicles restricts traffic on the city ring road in the morning, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and in the afternoon, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Restriction:
- Monday: last plates 1 and 2;
- Tuesday: last boards 3 and 4;
- Wednesday: final plates 5 and 6;
- Thursday: last boards 7 and 8;
- Friday: final scores 9 and 0.
During the rotation, vehicles are prevented from circulating in the expanded center, including the roads that delimit the so-called mini-ring road, formed by Marginais Tietê and Pinheiros, the avenues Bandeirantes and Afonso D’Escragnolle Taunay, the Complexo Viário Maria Maluf, the avenues Tancredo Neves and Juntas Provisórias, Viaduto Grande São Paulo and the avenues Professor Luís Inácio de Anhaia Melo and Salim Farah Maluf.
According to the CET, traveling in places and times not authorized by the regulations of the Brazilian Highway Code constitutes a medium offense, leading to a fine of R$130.16 and adding four points in the driver’s file.
