Silver medalist at the London 2012 Olympic Games, boxer Esquiva Falcão had a little scare this Monday morning. The 36-year-old fighter overturned his car on Rodovia do Sol, a radial highway that connects Espírito Santo’s capital, Vitória, to the south of the state, but was not seriously injured. He was alone when the accident occurred in the vehicle.
Esquiva lost control of the car, which fell into the embankment next to the highway and was a total loss. The accident happened on Monday morning at 6 a.m., while the boxer was on his way to the gym.
On social networks, the fighter spoke out and reassured his followers. Esquiva said the car was totaled, but he did not suffer any scratches in the accident.
— I’m just stopping by to tell you that I’m okay. Thank God for God’s deliverance. I lost control of the car. I didn’t have a scratch, I’m fine. The car was destroyed, it was a total loss, the airbag was activated. Unfortunately I lost my car, I didn’t have insurance. This happened at six in the morning, I was going to the gym. The important thing is that I am fine — said Esquiva Falcão on social networks.
