A couple kayaking on Praia dos Milionários, in São Vicente, on the south coast of São Paulo, was robbed this Sunday (21). According to civil police, two people on a personal watercraft approached the victims and took the rings.
Videos recorded by beachgoers recorded the action. In the footage, the suspects approach the couple, remove the paddles from the kayak, use one of them to attack one of the victims and, moments later, leave the scene. After the crime, the couple filed a police report for theft and assault.

In a press release, the São Vicente town hall indicated that the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) and the Port Authority carried out inspections in the city’s marinas on Sunday evening.
“Evidence indicates that the criminals have not left the marinas located in São Vicente. So far, no one has been arrested. This Monday (22), the GCM intensified inspections on land,” said the municipal administration.
The City Hall also reported that Mayor Kayo Amado (Podemos) sent a letter to the command of the CPI-6 of the Military Police requesting maritime support with ships of the BAEP (Special Actions Battalion), in addition to strengthening the presence of the Brazilian Navy on the city’s waterfront.
The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) said it had mobilized vehicles to strengthen law enforcement in the region and search for suspects. The case was registered as theft and is under investigation by the São Vicente police station.
