A day after winning the Brazilian Cup four times, beating Vasco 2-1 in the grand final played at the Maracanã, Corinthians were once again in the spotlight. After all, on Monday evening (22), the CBF announced the selection of the best players in the competition, and Timão topped the list. There were therefore seven athletes chosen in the São Paulo team.
Additionally, Dorival Júnior, the commander of Alvinegra’s victorious campaign, won his third Copa do Brasil title in the last four years and was rightly recognized as coach of the 2025 edition.
Runners-up Vasco also had space with strikers Nuno Moreira and Rayan. Cruzeiro, who fell in the semi-final against Corinthians, managed to register two names: full-back Kaiki and striker Kaio Jorge.
The selection for the 2025 Copa do Brasil was defined as follows: Hugo Souza in goal; Matheuzinho on the right flank; Gustavo Henrique and André Ramalho form the defensive duo; Kaiki on the left flank; Breno Bidon, Nuno Moreira and Memphis Depay in midfield; and in attack, Rayan, Yuri Alberto and Kaio Jorge. The team is led by Dorival.
