In a night that changed the routine of app driver Jurandir João de Brito, 60, a simple day of work ended with his vehicle damaged and his main source of income compromised.
The reason was the collision with the car driven by actor Dado Dolabella. The accident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday (20/12), on Avenida Doutor Ricardo Jafet, in the Ipiranga neighborhood, south of São Paulo.
Images taken by Jurandir himself (video above) show the damage that he says will cost him racing days and repair costs.
“It may not even be repairable anymore. It’s my work tool, I’m an application pilot, it’s my livelihood, for me and my family,” he said.
Jurandir reported to the civil police that he was driving on the road when the vehicle left the road at high speed. Drive-thru from Burger King — invaded his path and hit him on the right side, damaging the car he uses for work.

“When he got out of the car, he was transformed and seemed drunk,” Jurandir told the journalist, in a report that is now part of the police investigation. “He drove off at high speed, crashed and when I said I would call the police, he picked up the bumper which fell to the ground, put it in the back seat and fled the scene.”
In videos posted on social media, the actor said he left the scene to “protect his daughter”, claiming that Jurandir had been tampered with.

Although the versions differ, the damage to the application driver is concrete. If the car is not roadworthy, he will be off work until repairs are made.
The incident was recorded as an escape from the accident scene. The police investigation is awaiting reports and expert statements before defining possible responsibilities.
Dado’s defense and the actor were not located by the report. The space remains open for demonstrations.
Criminal history
In recent years, actor Dado Dolabella has been a recurring figure in police episodes and legal proceedings linked to aggressive behavior, particularly in the context of intimate relationships.
The most high-profile case occurred in 2008, when he was accused by his then-girlfriend, actress Luana Piovani, of physical assault during a fight at a nightclub in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro, and of also assaulting a maid who tried to intervene.
The episode resulted in a sentence of two years and nine months in prison and the payment of compensation to the employee, even if part of the sentence was the subject of subsequent appeals.
In 2009, still under the influence of the Rio justice system, his then wife, publicist Viviane Sarahyba, filed a complaint for physical and verbal attacks during their marriage, which resulted in the granting of protective measures. The court also ordered him removed from his home.
Most recently, in 2025, Dolabella was sentenced to two years and four months in prison, in open regime, for assaulting his ex-girlfriend and cousin, Marina Dolabella, in 2020, in an episode involving slaps, punches in the face and hair pulling, as stated in the lawsuit, and which gave rise to the criminal action. His defense announced its intention to appeal the decision.
