The general secretary of the Andalusian PP, Antonio Repullo, announced this Tuesday that “decisions” will be taken in relation to the situation generated in the Town Hall of Algeciras (Cádiz) after the complaint for alleged sexual harassment against the mayor, José Ignacio Landaluce, who resigned from the Popular Party.
In statements to Canal Sur Radio, reported by Europa Press, Repullo said that Landaluce made the decision to present his resignation as a member of the PP and, obviously, is now a mayor who “is independent and has the support of the popular group of Algeciras City Hall.”
He indicated that the situation is being evaluated: “We are a party that does not make decisions in haste, but rather in a very measured way.”
“What is clear is that the Popular Party does not make decisions because the PSOE pushes us to do so,” said Repullo, emphasizing that the PP has always demonstrated its “autonomy”.
Antonio Repullo stressed that “we are obviously going to take the decisions that we have to take from the most objective point of view, with the greatest seriousness, and always thinking about what is best for the inhabitants of Algeciras.”
