ROSARIO.-A triple crime shook Rosario in the early hours of this Tuesday in an emblematic location: the Las Flores neighborhood, an area dominated by the Los Monos gang. This criminal organization has been the target of crimes in recent months. Dylan Cantero, one of the brothers of drug group leader Máximo “Guille” Cantero, was attacked twice in the neighborhood and, after miraculously saving his life, is currently incarcerated in a high-level cell at Piñero Prison.
This triple murder occurred almost on the edge of the neighborhood, at the northern end, where the houses are dilapidated and there is a large garbage dump. The scant information that emerged this morning suggests that the attack occurred around 1:15 a.m. in Spain and Lirio. Two people died at the scene, while a third died at Centenario Hospital, where he had been referred. There is a fourth injured person who was admitted to the Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (Heca) with gunshot wounds to the face.
According to officials, SIES received several emergency calls to 911 requesting an ambulance for four people injured by firearms. When the troops arrived at the scene, they confirmed the situation and confirmed that the scene was under the protection of the Argentine Naval Prefecture. Minutes later, 35-year-old Erica Tamara Ayala and a yet-to-be-identified man were confirmed dead at the scene.
The other two injured people were transferred to highly complex centers. Lisandro Roque A., a resident of Villa Gobernador Gálvez, was admitted to HECA with gunshot wounds to the face and chest. Due to the severity of the injuries, he was hospitalized with a cautious prognosis. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Sergio Fabio Roldán was admitted to Centenario Hospital with multiple injuries to the chest and upper limbs. At around 3:56 a.m., they reported from this health center that Roldán had died as a result of severe gunshot wounds.
Ten days ago, a double crime occurred in the southwest of Rosario, in which a hitman who arrived on foot shot at a group of people who were on the sidewalk in the Triángulo neighborhood. A 16-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man died.
The attack occurred at 1:20 a.m. in Cisneros at 63:00 between Campbell and Pamaló. The place is known as Toba District, although officially it has a different name. People from this community of indigenous peoples live there, most of whom come from the Chaco. The area was shocked by the two crimes, especially that of the 16-year-old teenager named Deisy Jazmín Durán, who died from a shot in the head.
This area of Rosario has a long history of crime related to drug trafficking. In July of this year, a 30-year-old man was shot dead in Manantiales at 3700. Twelve fired cartridges were left at the scene, evidence of a coordinated attack.
According to official figures, there have been 104 homicides in the Rosario department in the last eleven months. Data from the Santa Fe Public Security Observatory shows that 85 homicides were recorded in November 2024, while in 2025 they reached 104, an increase of 22.4%. However, this number is less shocking when compared to 2023, when 260 people were murdered in Rosario.
Firearms continue to be used in the vast majority of homicides in Rosario. According to November 2025 data from the Public Security Observatory, they represent 79.8% of cases (83 victims).
In parallel with the increase in murders, official reports show that the number of people injured by firearms in Rosario is also increasing. In 2025, the agency recorded a total of 363 injuries through November, revealing a picture of armed violence that is much broader than that reflected in completed homicides.
In November of this year, 41 firearm injuries were recorded in Rosario, making this month one of the most critical of the year in terms of non-fatal victims of armed violence. These data suggest that while homicides have increased, overall exposure to gun violence is even greater.
According to the November 2025 report, 56.7% of homicides in Rosario occur in connection with illicit economies or criminal organizations (59 cases). Interpersonal conflicts explain 25.0% of cases (26 victims), while homicides due to robbery account for 3.8%.
