Judge Dana summoned as a witness Pepe Morgan, who defines himself as a lawyer “on leave” and works as an advisor to the PP in the Valencian courts and who accompanied Carlos Mazón’s chief of staff, former regional secretary José Manuel Cuenca, to his testimony on December 12.
The magistrate accepts the diligence proposed by lawyer Ximo Esteve, who is serving one of the private charges in the case and suspects that Morgan might have provided some sort of legal advice to the witness.
The PP councilor, assigned to the first secretariat of the Regional Parliament Council, said he accompanied Cuenca to the Catarroja courthouse out of friendship. Morgan entered the premises escorting the witness and remained at the courtroom entrance throughout the testimony.
José Manuel Cuenca testified on this occasion for the second time, after a notarial deed from former councilor Salomé Pradas, instructed in the procedure, was incorporated into the file, with the WhatsApp messages sent to him by Mazón’s chief of staff, who ordered him not to confine the population.
The judge summoned Cuenca for the third time, for a confrontation with Pradas, based on the contradictions between the versions of the former advisor and the former senior presidential official.
