A logistical and human deployment which, beyond citizen security, aims to protect the pantries of institutions that take care of most disadvantaged minors from the capital of the Costa del Sol.
The delivery ceremony, which was held at the provincial police station itself, made it possible to materialize the effort of several weeks of collections, draws and donations. Police vans and volunteer vehicles are responsible for distributing these 3,000 kilos of food and products of first necessitywhich have two historical and priority recipients for the group: the Kindergarten of Santa Teresa, located in the neighborhood of La Palmilla, and the City of the Children.
A commitment that spans three decades
The initiative is not new, but the fruit of perseverance that goes back more than three decades. La Biznaga Azul believes that since its beginnings they have managed to channel further of 25,000 kilos of humanitarian aid directly towards the most vulnerable sectors of Malaga society.
The operation of the campaign is a mechanism that combines the internal generosity of the body with external collaboration. To finance the purchase of additional food, La Biznaga Azul launched, as in previous editions, solidarity draws in the police station cafeteria, which benefited from the support of local sporting giants. Biznaga Azul is not a police unit, but a cultural and solidarity association formed by certain 200 membersamong whom are national police officers of all levels and administrative staff from police stations in Malaga, and even cities like Torremolinos or Marbella. The association insists on the fact that this work is carried out completely altruistically and outside working hours. “We do the work, and apart from that we take on this other work, which is supportive,” they said. Childhood as top priority

The association organizes everything from hiking routes to guided tours of monuments and museums for its members, promoting coexistence outside of duty.
Their altruistic vocation does not stop after Christmas, since throughout the year they promote other charitable initiativessuch as football matches and solidarity games, in addition to managing direct help for colleagues in the corps who are going through situations of specific need.
