Four prisoners escaped from the Belo Horizonte (MG) penitentiary system, after presenting falsified release authorizations. According to the Minas Gerais Justice Court (TJMG), one of the fugitives was located and arrested this Tuesday morning (12/23).
The scam was coordinated by a hacker already incarcerated and who was the subject of an operation in early December, suspected of intrusion into the systems of the National Council of Justice (CNJ).

Investigations indicate that the group operated in the manipulation of judicial systems, unduly modifying arrest warrants and release authorizations, such as identification information linked to magistrates and TJMG employees to access the systems of the CNJ, the National Bank of Criminal Measures and Prisons (BNMP), the Judicial Assets Tracing System (Sisbajud) and the National Judicial Registry of Motor Vehicles (Renajud). Three men are on the run.
According to the court, the group also worked on other scams, such as fake lawyers and financial fraud against companies and banks.
The TJMG reported that all irregular court orders were identified and canceled within 24 hours. State and federal security forces were called in to capture the fugitives, but the date of the escape and the name of the prison unit were not released.
“The Court strengthens its confidence in the judicial systems administered by the National Council of Justice and continues to exercise constant vigilance to prevent and combat any type of violation of its systems,” indicates the note published by the TJMG.
