The 84-year-old TV presenter and author watched Swansea win against fellow Welsh side Wrexham last Friday.
“I’m sure many of you saw that Martha Stewart was among those in attendance,” said Swansea majority owners Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen. “Martha is close friends with Snoop Dogg and attended the match against Wrexham as a guest. We are pleased to confirm that Martha, who has built a long and successful career as America’s leading home and lifestyle expert, has joined Snoop and Luka Modric as a minority shareholder in our football club.”
Swansea are looking to improve the club’s image and generate greater revenue, which would allow them to invest more in new signings, whilst complying with profitability and sustainability regulations.
“We are very pleased to welcome Martha back, and we know that watching Friday night’s game in person has only increased her excitement and expectations about being part of Swansea City,” Cravatt and Cohen said.
Swansea are currently 19th in the English Second Division and will face Championship leaders Coventry on Friday.
