Between open negotiations, behind-the-scenes noise and tight scheduling due to scheduling, a leader revealed priorities, dismissed rumors and admitted that, even with your feet on the ground, it is possible to dream bigger.
Responsible for Remo’s football in the access campaign, Marcos Braz publicly commented on the club’s next steps on the eve of its Serie A debut. In an interview with GE this Tuesday, the director discussed the possibility of continuing in this role, analyzed the transfer market and ruled out any noise in the relationship with President Tonhão.
As the contract comes to an end, Braz confirmed that the club had already opened a dialogue for renewal, but explained that for the moment there was still a need to fully focus on the operational decisions of the football department. The executive has made it clear that there is alignment with the board, although a formal definition has not yet been established.
Faced with speculation about internal attrition, notably involving the club president, Braz directly denied any problem. According to him, the functioning of the management follows the expected institutional flow, with final decisions passing through the presidency, without interference or personal conflicts.
In the sporting field, the director stressed that Remo will adopt a conservative stance when returning to the elite. Maintaining Serie A appears to be a central planning objective, avoiding bets that could compromise the club’s financial health. However, Braz admitted that the project is not limited to survival and recognized that the possibility of reaching the Copa Sudamericana is part of the internal imagination.
Speaking about the market, the executive stressed that the values currently practiced make negotiations difficult, especially for recently promoted clubs. The short interval between confirmation of access and the start of the following season was also highlighted as an additional obstacle, as was the planned schedule of the Brasileirão in 2026, a consequence of the World Cup.
Even in this scenario, Braz assured that Remo is in constant motion and will undergo considerable team overhaul. We expect a greater number of hires, always respecting financial limits. Part of the current group was even warned that it would not continue with the project.
Finally, the director confirmed that the preparation for the season will take place in Brazil. The pre-season will take place in Pernambuco, CT do Retrô, after the management ruled out training abroad due to lack of time.
