The Brotherhood will hold a council for general elections On Friday, November 14, at its facilities. One of the candidates is José Francisco Méndez Lopezthe company’s current lieutenant, aspires to become Big Brother. Candidate And he attended … ABC Seville in the hours before the election.
-Why did you introduce yourself to my older brother?
-I understand that in any brotherhood where stability prevails, as in ours, the lieutenant of the elder brother must bear the obligation of submitting to the will of the brothers, so that they are the ones who decide whether they want said continuity or not.
-How did the last weeks of the electoral process develop?
-Well, in previous election calls, I did not have the experience of facing more than one candidate, but my conscience is very clear, because I know that I am doing what I should do.
-Do you think that the presence of three candidates may create division after the end of the electoral process?
Of course, if the brothers give me their confidence in the elections on the 14th, I will do everything in my power to ensure that this does not happen, and I will try to avoid it as much as possible.
– What projects does your candidacy consider a priority?
Among the most important projects: enhancing charitable work in all its aspects; recovering the mantle of chains lost in the ill-fated San Jacinto fire, as well as other possessions; Continuation of goldsmithing in the María Santísima de Guadalupe Pass; Facilitating a more complete vision of the Christ of the Holy Waters when He is on His way; And maintaining effective management of the Brotherhood’s economy.
But we are also very concerned about training. We consider that we must go deeper into this aspect, and to do so, we will use social networks, in order to reach the brothers and all those who wish to visit our spaces and enrich their spiritual lives.
-Do you think that opening Atarazanas and turning it into one of the city’s tourist areas will benefit the brothers?
-The opening of shipyards can be very helpful in attracting all people who want to visit us; Yes, always with due respect for the sacred space that constitutes our chapel.
– If he is elected, will positions of trust within the Brotherhood and brotherhood be maintained?
– I will talk about it with the board if we are elected, but the intention is not to change anything.
– How do you evaluate the situation on Holy Monday? Do you think the Muslim Brotherhood should change its position or remain in its current position?
– The situation on Holy Monday is generally good. Any change that could occur means disrupting a day that does not, in my opinion, present any problems.
– A message to the brothers.
-I ask the brothers to come and participate in these municipal elections. They are the ones who must decide what model of fraternity they want for the next three years, and I encourage them to do so with the responsibility and commitment that characterizes our fraternity members.
