The Brotherhood will hold a council for general elections On Friday, November 14, at its facilities. One of the candidates is Luis Chamorro Garcia, A special education teacher who specializes in emotional intelligence, he has been a brother practically since birth and has never trained … Part of the fraternity’s board of directors. Candidate ABC attended from Seville in the hours before the election.
-Why did you introduce yourself to my older brother?
-Because I want to open the door of fraternization to the participation of the largest number of brothers, expand the scope of devotion for our bearers, and complement the services with a broad agenda of cultural, training and recreational activities, allowing the brothers to get to know each other better and enhance the sense of belonging.
-How did the last weeks of the electoral process develop?
Very exciting. We have announced what we intend to build in Las Aguas, conveying a new way to reach our brothers and tell our story. We have sent direct and clear messages to all of them. Now it’s their turn to talk. If they choose us, we will get to work; If we are not the chosen ones, we will also be at the disposal of the brothers.
-Do you think that the presence of three candidates may create division after the end of the electoral process?
– Which makes no sense on our part. We were, still are, and will always be ready for anything the brotherhood asks of us. It is clear that if we submit a nomination, it is because we are proposing a different way to manage the Brotherhood, nothing more. Whoever interprets this as a division, that is the problem of who he thinks it is. We are all Waters brothers, and it doesn’t matter who each one of us votes for.
– What projects does your candidacy consider a priority?
Our proposal focuses on four basic goals. First, opening the church to daily worship, and strengthening its spiritual and communal function. Second: Knowing and appreciating the opinion of the brothers in all aspects of brotherhood, and encouraging participation and dialogue. Third: Strengthening the chain of kindness between brothers, strengthening ties and feelings of brotherhood. Finally, glorifying and honoring the station of repentance, and enhancing its importance in the life of the brotherhood.
-Do you think that opening Atarazanas and turning it into one of the city’s tourist areas will benefit the brothers?
-It will depend on what the brothers decide. If the church remains open during the current hours, much of its potential will not be fulfilled. On the other hand, if the church was opened at the same times as the shipyards, it could serve as a complement to the cultural presentation of the historical space in which we are located. Undoubtedly, our project includes linking with all the institutions neighboring our temple, among which, in addition to the Atarazanas, are the Teatro de la Maestranza, the Hospital of La Santa Caridad and the brotherhoods of the Arenal neighborhood.
– If he is elected, will positions of trust within the Brotherhood and brotherhood be maintained?
-Yes, we announced it that way. Any change that may occur must come from within the brotherhood itself and be decided by the brothers themselves.
– How do you evaluate the situation on Holy Monday? Do you think the Muslim Brotherhood should change its position or remain in its current position?
-Holy Monday is the day on which the brothers are most satisfied. It is true that the beloved brothers at the museum have, for several years, expressed their disagreement with their position. Being prepared for dialogue and harmony is the best starting point for any negotiations. We are not considering any modification regarding our position.
– A message to the brothers.
-Friday, November 14 is the day to choose between the options we present to the Las Aguas Board of Directors. Our project is fresh, exciting and participatory. We are committed and responsible for what we entrusted to our brothers. We want to count on you, because brotherhood belongs to everyone. We want to know your opinion, because it matters to us. I ask for your vote and encourage you to attend between 6:00 p.m. And 10:00 pm. To our church. We want to know you, because we want to build the future with you.
