Estudiantes closes a year full of celebrations, with two new stars in its history in just one week. President Juan Sebastián Verón thanked club employees and fans for their support and called for a year 2026 with more goals.
In Pincha’s social networks, together with the deputy Martín Gorostegui, they shared the message of the little witch Verón. Addressing the fans, they emphasized: This is our big family. Represent it, care for it and make it bigger every day. That’s what it’s about. Because this is our beloved club.”
Instead, the little witch Verón reflected: “I have been through good times and bad times, but in the end the club always throws you a rope and gives you a place, a space to alleviate it, to be able to work, to be able to do what we want. I have been here since the 80s and I have also seen how the club has grown. The truth is that it is a great pleasure to have people from Estudiantes de La Plata here to take care of the facilities.” and who take care of the children who work with the athlete every day.”
“It is a place where we build bonds, where we have friends, where we have relatives and of course where we have our dreams. This is our club, this is our home, we must take care of it, let it grow and continue to love it the way we love it. Thank you for this year and the next year must be better. Congratulations to everyone,” concluded the President.
For his part, Martín Gorostegui said: “We thank you for the work you do every day. We know the work you do every day. We really appreciate the work you do. Without you we would not be able to manage our daily lives.”
Estudiantes ends 2025 with ups and downs throughout the championship, but with an unexpected comeback: after announcing the results that brought them closer to the possibility of reaching the round of 16 of the Clausura tournament, they were encouraged in the final stretch.
He defeated Rosario Central amid the controversy with the AFA and the back row that earned him a series of bans – including that of Verón, which prevented him from maintaining his position for six months – he defeated Central Córdoba, he won the Bosque in the semifinals with Gimnasia, Racing came and left him in the penalty shootout.
A week later, fans mobilized to San Nicolás to accompany the team to the Champions Trophy final against Platense, winners of the Apertura tournament.
