A serious accident left a 20-year-old man dead and two women injured in the early hours of this Thursday (25), on Avenida Ipiranga, in Porto Alegre.
The collision occurred shortly after midnight, near the intersection with Rua Múcio Teixeira. According to the Military Brigade, the child was driving a motorcycle towards the center of the neighborhood, with a passenger in the back, when a car traveling in the right lane suddenly changed lanes to turn left, crossing the path of the motorcycle.
Under the force of the impact, the motorcyclist was thrown against a traffic light pole. Despite emergency treatment, he did not survive his injuries and died instantly.
In addition to the motorcycle passenger, a homeless woman who was crossing the road at the time of the accident was also injured. Both were rescued by Samu and transported to the Emergency Hospital (HPS).
The driver of the car was unhurt. Subjected to a breathalyzer test, she showed no signs of alcohol ingestion.
