
The Kibiga water tank explosion in Campina Grande on Saturday (11/8) collapsed houses, killing one person and injuring another. Shortly after the rupture, a task force was mobilized to remove rubble and provide assistance to victims in the Prata neighborhood.

Teams from the Civil Defense, the Military Fire Department, and the ParaÃba Water and Sanitation Company (CAGIPA), in addition to employees from the State Departments of Infrastructure, Water Resources and Human Development, participated in the emergency measures.
The work was coordinated by Vice Governor Lucas Ribeiro, who remained in the city throughout the day to monitor the rescue and clean-up efforts.
“ParaÃba is with Campina. From the first hours, we worked in an integrated manner to mitigate the effects of the tragedy resulting from the Cagiba reservoir explosion,” the deputy governor said.
