A fighter and his wife jumped from the second floor of the house where they live, in Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo, after a fire ravaged the property this Sunday morning (25/12).
On social networks, Rafael Rey, also a player and businessman, reported that the fire broke out in a cinema room of the house and surprised the couple, who had to quickly escape the flames. According to the fighter, there were animals on the property that required veterinary care. A parrot died.
Videos posted by Rey show the property completely destroyed and the presence of firefighters on site (see below). In one of the images, the businessman appears on the street in front of his house, wearing only underwear, trying to calm his wife, who was crying due to fear. There is still no information on the causes of the incident.
“My house caught fire, we almost died. It was panic, we woke up with smoke coming at us. We had to jump from the second floor. I thought I was going to die, I thought I was going to lose my wife. I managed to escape and save my wife through a small gap that was not yet on fire,” he wrote.
According to the report, the couple had to jump out of the window onto the balcony of a neighboring room, where the fire had not yet reached. From the balcony, they jumped onto a lawn outside.
