The 12-year-old teenager is hospitalized in serious condition
Angelina, 12, is fighting for her life in intensive care after being hit by a stray bullet in the middle of Christmas. Family members narrated the incident and demanded justice.
According to sources in the case, Mariana, an aunt of the little girl, broke the silence from the door of her home in Villa Sarmiento, Morón district, with a mix of hope and indignation: “She will come out because she is super strong, but the son of a bitch who has the bullet should take care of himself,” she told television cameras.
The incident occurred when the family’s children went out on the sidewalk to watch the fireworks after dinner.
“They couldn’t open the presents, they had to run,” said another relative, who explained that the low-caliber projectile lodged in the back of his skull.
Although the minor is stable, her condition is critical and doctors are considering a complex operation to remove the bullet, which “goes in but doesn’t come out.”
They all point to the “unconsciousness” of those who shoot into the air: “They do not measure the consequences. Every shot into the air has the possibility of killing someone or ruining their life,” they said with deep pain.
The teenager is admitted to a clinic in Ramos Mejía under extensive medical examinations.
In this regard, another uncle made statements to a news channel detailing the dramatic moment of impact.
The incident occurred at 12:05 at night in the middle of the sidewalk as the joy of the start of Christmas turned into a nightmare.
“She collapsed. We were out here taking her to the hospital at the same time,” the man said, still shocked at the speed of events.
According to the family member, Angelina did not do any risky activities but simply enjoyed the nightly show.
“She was watching the fireworks when it hit her sideways,” he explained.
The family remains confident that the damage is not irreversible. “You have to see, maybe it grazed him and didn’t touch anything inside him,” he remarked cautiously to the microphones.
Despite the severity of the gunshot wound, the family member tried to convey some reassurance about the girl’s development, stating that Angelina is currently “better and more stable,” according to the latest medical reports received by the family.
A significant relief in this context is that the bullet would basically not have hit the engine part. “Now she is sedated and the area is very swollen. The bullet is still inside,” confirmed the uncle, who asked for prayers so that the girl could “live peacefully” after overcoming this trauma.
“He is a creature, we just ask that he recover,” he concluded.
Next to her were 12 little cousins. She fell back and started saying her head was on fire, they thought it might be a rocket or something made of fire. When they picked her up, they saw blood and she fainted.
Now they are conducting all the technical tests and analysis of the neighborhood cameras to discover the shooter. It was found that when the place was searched, pods that were compared to the ones that injured the teenager appeared everywhere.
