Zelensky says he will meet Trump ‘soon’

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced early this Friday that he would meet his American counterpart Donald Trump “Soon”.

“We have agreed to a high-level meeting with President Trump in the near future. Much can be decided … things before the New Year,” the Ukrainian president said on his social networks.

The announcement comes only 48 hours after Zelensky gave details of the draft peace plan prepared with the United States to end the war and which opens the door to the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donetsk province, an offer which conditions Russia to do the same with its forces deployed in the region.
