The Civil Guard arrested a 38-year-old man for killing another after a fight in a bar in the town of Cebolla, Toledo. The events, as explained by the police, occurred in the early hours of December 21. … December, after a fight between several people near the bar ‘Los Arcos’ in this town of just over 3,000 inhabitants.
After the altercation, which took place between 4 and 5 a.m. for unknown reasons, the now detained man returned to the scene with a large knife and attacked his victim in the neck, who died during transport to the hospital due to the severity of the injury.
The agents, as part of Operation “Torpedo-To”, opened an investigation which ended with the arrest, 48 hours later, of a 38-year-old man with a criminal record for acts of violence as the alleged perpetrator of the attack.
The man was in the same municipality of Toledo where the events occurred and this Friday he was brought to court. The victim and the alleged attacker both resided in the city and were not related.
The operation was carried out by the Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Toledo Civil Guard, in coordination with the Territorial Judicial Police Team (ETPJ) of Talavera de la Reina and the Criminalistics Laboratory and led by the Court of First Instance and Investigation No. 1 of Talavera de la Reina (Toledo).
On December 21, the municipal council decreed 2 days of official mourning for the death of this 33-year-old neighbor and father of two children who had resided in the town for several years. The Christmas carol celebration was also postponed as a sign of respect.
