A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of breaking into the house and attempting to rape one of the victims, an 89-year-old woman, in the early hours of this Thursday (25/12), in the Vila Nunes neighborhood, in Lorena, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to the police report, the attacker, a pre-trial detainee, entered the house of an elderly couple around 2:30 a.m. to demand money from the victims.
While trying to sexually abuse the woman, the couple resisted and physically fought with the woman’s 90-year-old husband, who pushed the criminal away with a crutch.

The suspect hit the man in the hand with scissors and fled.
Military police were called and the victims were transported to the emergency room.
During searches throughout the area, the man was located and taken to the Lorena police station, where he remains at the disposal of the Ministry of Justice.
