Judge Moreno summons Koldo García’s ex-wife to testify as under investigation

The judge of the National Court Ishmael Moreno was called to testify as part of an investigation Patricia Urizex-wife of Koldo García, for January 20.

He did this at the request of the anti-corruption prosecutor. Luis Pasteurwho in a letter to the judge underlines the existence of alleged crimes of money laundering and criminal organization.

“One of the people against whom the investigation was directed from the beginning is Patricia Úriz Iriarte, because she would have benefited and participated in the operation deployed to hide the illicit origin of the funds obtained by Koldo Garcia Izaguirre while he was an advisor to the then leader MITMA, José Luis Ábalos Meco” said the prosecutor.

The pastor refers to the report of the UCO of October 3 in which “the behavior of Patricia Uriz compatible with the crime of money laundering which had been the subject of an investigation and which had not yet been revealed in the present proceedings.

The prosecutor requested that it be declared under investigation in order to “guarantee the full effectiveness of the right to defense and prevent material situations of helplessness from occurring”.
