MME proposes changes to energy tariff reduction times for rural consumers | Brazil

The Ministry of Mines and Energy opened this Friday (26) a public consultation on the rules for granting special discounts on electricity tariffs for rural consumers. The ministry proposes that consumers should be given preference in setting the timing of the benefit, which should take into account periods of lower electricity system demand and greater solar energy production. The proposal will be subject to public consultation until January 27.
