The former director general of the Federal Highway Police (PRF), Silvinei Vasques, was arrested in Paraguay this Friday (26/12) after presenting a false passport while trying to board at the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, in Asunción. When asked about the photos, he claimed that the difference in the image was due to the medical treatment.
After being questioned again by authorities about the discrepancy between the photos, Silvinei confessed that the passport was fake and ended up being arrested at the airport. The former head of the PRF had falsified Paraguayan documents under the name Julio Eduardo Baez Fernández. Discover the photos of the document:

Convicted by the STF
Silvinei Vasques was sentenced to 24 years and 6 months in prison by the Federal Court (STF) for participation in the so-called coup plot.
According to Brazilian authorities, Silvinei broke the electronic surveillance equipment, thereby directly violating the precautionary measures imposed by the Court. In the decision ordering Silvinei’s preventive detention this Friday, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), reported that the ankle bracelet lost the signal in the early hours of Christmas (12/25), around 3 a.m. Then, around 1 p.m., there was no connection.
Silvinei reportedly left Brazil by land to Paraguay, avoiding airports and stricter migration controls. Then, using false documents, he attempted to board a flight to Panama, from where he would travel to El Salvador, but was arrested by local immigration police before managing to escape.
