We had a great year of important releases in the video game industry, so the time has come to highlight which are the best games of 2025, which is already in its final stretch.
We already know the nominees for the Golden Joystick Awards, and Geoff Keighley confirmed when the GOTY finalists will be revealed and in each category to The Game Awards 2025.
The new edition of this ceremony, which has existed (under that name) since 2014, will take place next December 11th of Pavão Theater Los Angeles. And, as always, you can watch live from YouTube, Muscle contraction and social media.
New this year, Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch The Game Awards 2025 on the Amazon platform and enjoy exclusive benefits, such as a store with discounts.
Through Twitter/X, the official account of The Game Awards announced that the finalists in each of the 29 categories will be announced next Monday, November 17th.

What time are the Game Awards finalists announced?
Geoff Keighley confirmed on social media with a short video that The Game Awards 2025 finalists will be announced next November 17th at 6pm. Spanish time (9 a.m. Pacific Time).
The final nominees will be revealed in a special broadcast that will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch from the event’s official channels.
In this flow we will discover all nominees in each of the 29 categoriesincluding those of Game of the Year, Best Direction, Best Independent Game, Best Performance and Best Adaptation.
At the end of the live, the voting page will open on the official The Game Awards website so that everyone can vote for their favorites with complete freedom, and for these votes to count towards the final gala.
The voting page will be active until next December 10th at 6pm. Pacific Time. In Spain it will close in dawn from December 10th to 11thspecifically at 03:00 in the morning.
Titles such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Donkey Kong Bananza, Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2, Silent Hill or perhaps some surprise are expected to be present among the GOTY nominees. Which is your favorite?
