Former Real Madrid and Germany legend Toni Kroos was surprised by Flamengo’s performance against PSG in the intercontinental final. For him, the best Brazilian teams can compete with those in Europe.
“It surprised me a little, but I think that Brazilian football, at least the best teams in Brazil, can compete well (against the Europeans). Because PSG, without a doubt, was the best team in Europe last season,” Kroos said, in an interview with Romário TV.
“I think it’s a little less now, because there are important players who are injured, but I think it means that Brazilian football is doing well and that the best teams in Brazil can compete with those in Europe,” added the former player.
