The health condition of Silvina Scheffler, former Big Brother participant and former partner of Nito Artaza, has caused concern in recent days after it was revealed that she was in intensive care with leptospirosis.
As confirmed by Agencia Noticias Argentinas. The former “little sister” spent five days in intensive care after being diagnosed with this infectious disease, the number of which is increasing in the country.
On the other hand, his ex-partner Nito Artazam commented on this matter, confirming the situation and details of his development. “She was very unwell, she had a lot of fever and pain all over her body. At first they thought it was dengue, but two days ago she was diagnosed with leptospirosis. She spent Christmas in the hospital, it was a big scare,” she said.
As Artaza announced, Scheffler has already been moved to an intermediate room, she does not have a fever and is in good spirits. “Now that they know what the virus is, they are treating it well and it is evolving,” he said.
Regarding the possible origin of the infection, Artaza indicated that it was unclear, although he mentioned that Silvina had recently been in the country to visit her parents. __IP__
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease transmitted through contact with water or soil contaminated with urine from infected animals such as rodents, livestock or pets. So far this year, the Health Ministry reported a surge in cases, particularly in provinces such as Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos, and confirmed several deaths in the central region of the country, underscoring the importance of early detection and treatment.
