European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Sunday (28) after a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and European leaders that significant progress has been made and unwavering security guarantees are needed for Ukraine.
“Europe stands ready to continue working with Ukraine and our American partners to consolidate this progress. It is essential for this effort to have unwavering security guarantees from day one,” von der Leyen wrote on the social media platform X.
