Japan is a very fashionable destination these days. However, when we travel, we may get sick far from home. What happens if you need to go to the hospital during your stay? How do they work?
About that … The couple in charge of the TikTok account recently spoke about this subject @veteporahi.viajestwo young people who are dedicated to sharing different experiences from their travels around the world on social networks. In one of the most recent videos on their profile, they show what a Japanese hospital looks like after experiencing it personally.
Indigestion in Japan
At the start of the video, the young woman explains that her partner, Juan, ate something that did not suit him at all. Thanks to travel insurance, they were able to quickly contact medical assistance who redirected them to a hospital. According to him, the insurer spoke directly with the insurance company in Japan and they sent Juan a test to determine what symptoms he was experiencing.
This test, Juan explains, also included several time slots available to go to the hospital. Shortly after, the couple recorded themselves entering the medical center counter. The place catches their attention with its elegant and neat appearance, and the young woman highlights a curious detail: “there is relaxing music in the waiting room,” he said.
Later, he explains that they asked for a doctor who spoke English, although, just in case, Juan had prepared a note with the full explanation of what was happening to him, written in English and Japanese. During the first consultation, he is seen communicating with the doctor using the Google translator, before going to a room equipped with a stretcher to wait for his blood to be drawn.
