The controversy with Volume 2 from the fifth and final season of Stranger Things continues to increase. In recent hours, many rumors (backed by tiktokers with millions of users) aiming to supposedly deleted scenes of the Netflix series, despite the refusal of those involved, going so far as to evoke an allegedly invalid document and evoking sequences which would have involved Mike and Will.
This led many fans of the series, angry at the plot of this volume 2, after having been satisfied with volume 1, to have demanded that the red streaming service release these supposedly deleted scenes, before the final finale on January 1st. An online petition which already has more than 285,000 signatures and continues to gain followers.
“We want the never-before-seen images of Stranger Things. We haven’t seen them because Netflix or the Stranger Things crew cut them. It’s been a long process of 10 years and this is what we have. They had to cut many scenes from volume 2 and our beloved characters. I think as fans we should take the initiative to get the footage,” the creators of this lawsuit said, even though they didn’t really know for sure and demanded “answers.”
“I think fans should have a say in how the show should evolve. This is why many of us are disappointed, because it did not live up to the expectations generated. They are all clearly dissatisfied with this season. Additionally, the amount of clues and information we got from the cast and interviews didn’t match that of the episodes. We want you Stranger Things have a legacy and not be seen as a program that could not thrive because of its bad storyline,” they concluded.
‘Stranger Things’ actor denies deleted scenes
All this even led some actors to decide to deny these theories. “There’s no secret #SnyderCut on the show, please. Don’t believe everything someone random on the internet tells you”noted the actor on his Instagram account. Randy Havenswho plays the Professor Clark. But that hasn’t stopped many people from asking for the DufferCut, even though all indications are that no such thing exists.
The Duffer brothers, creators of the series, continue to remain silent on the matter, as does the red streaming service, which further fuels the hypotheses. All this was born with a Google doc which purportedly contained details of “Complete plots and character arcs which were edited or modified during filming for various reasons.
Among these supposedly deleted scenesaccording to Google doc, included longer interactions between Will (Noah Schnapp) and Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), a basement scene between Will and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and a Will’s fake death. The document mentions quotes from the actors and creators of the series as proof, but has zero credibility and veracityat least for now, although many have decided that this is their new Bible. And there is no good ending without its dose of controversy, and if not, let them tell it. Game of Thrones either Lost.
