The Official College of Physicians of Toledo allocates 14,500 euros to associations that work with vulnerable groups

As the College reports in a press release, the program, financed from the College’s annual budget, has established itself as a fundamental tool for solidarity chain of the medical profession of Toledo.

The objective is to offer concrete support to entities that carry out social, assistance and humanitarian work of particular importance, both in the closest environment and in global contexts of extreme necessity.

The president of the COMT, Raúl Calvo, stressed the importance of maintaining and strengthening this initiative year after year, indicating that we cannot remain indifferent “to difficult realities that surround us”. “We want to actively support the work of entities that contribute to improving the lives of the most disadvantaged people and providing help where it is most needed,” he stressed.

The scope of the Colegio Solidario 2025 covers attention paid to social exclusion in the province to humanitarian aid in contexts of international crises. In this edition the School collaborates with entities such as the Spanish Red Cross, the Cáritas Diocesana de Toledo, the Jesús Abandonado Association, the San Bonifacio Institute – Casa Santa Lioba, the Food Bank of Toledo, Hermanitas de los Pobres, Hogar Zoe, the Spanish Association Against Cancer, AFANION, the Aurelio de León Association and the Association of Autistic People of Toledo (APAT Toledo), among the organizations that carry out their activity in the social and health field.

Additionally, the program includes support for cooperation and humanitarian action entities as Doctors of the World and Doctors Without Borders, demonstrating the College’s commitment to solidarity and international cooperation.
