The Federal District Traffic Department (Detran-DF) carried out, this Monday (29/12), an emergency air transport of a heart intended for a transplant operation.
The organ arrived in Brasilia aboard a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane and was then transported by helicopter by Detran-DF to the Forças Armadas (HFA) Hospital in just three minutes.

Two specialist doctors accompanied the transport to ensure that the heart remained in ideal condition throughout the journey.
The operation was carried out by the unit with a crew composed of commander Ricardo Oliveira Timóteo, second pilot Marcelo Caetano and tactical aeronautical operator Rodrigo Alexandre.
