“I will never forget this”
Since arriving in the Austrian capital, Lucía has immersed herself in the magic of the Christmas markets with a Christmas tour of the city, where she discovered typical flavors like mulled wine and wandered through illuminated squares that represent the city’s festive spirit. “I will never forget this,” he expressed, observing the atmosphere surrounding Vienna at that time. The itinerary included a stop at the iconic Belvedere Museum, home to some of Austria’s most famous works. There, he was able to see for the first time in person a painting he had always wanted to see: The Kiss, by Gustav Klimt. He also visited the historic Hofburg Palace – the former winter residence of the imperial family – a place that allowed him to immerse himself in centuries of history and architecture. But if anything impressed him, it was the town’s Christmas decorations, which added even more symbolism to the moment. “The city is beautiful, very different from our country,” remembers this woman, always with emotion.
