Joanderson dos Santos Morais, homeless resident (featured photo), aged 29, suspected of torturing and killing Osmar José de Mesquita, 55, for three hours, was arrested in Ceilândia (DF), Tuesday morning (30/12).
The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) issued a provisional arrest warrant against Joanderson. The homeless man entered a residence in Vicente Pires (DF), where he brutally tortured Osmar on Saturday (27/12).

In addition to the attacks, the criminal fled with a cell phone and a laptop.

The crime was committed in the early hours of Saturday (12/27). The victim, who was admitted to the intensive care unit of Santa Marta Hospital, succumbed to his injuries and died this Tuesday.
According to the PMDF, the criminal entered the house around 2 a.m. Upon noticing the invasion, the victim tried to react, but suffered several bodily injuries.
Security camera footage shows the attacker left the area around 5 a.m., leaving the residence completely ransacked.

After the attack, the man fled with a cell phone and laptop. The case is being investigated as robbery by the 38th Police Station (Vicente Pires).
