
Spain received 91.5 million international tourists during the first eleven months of the year which represents 3.4% more than the same period of the previous year, according to data published this Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), which ensures that this is the highest figure recorded in the Statistical Series of Tourist Movements at Borders (Frontur). In November, 5.8 million tourists visited our country, 2.1% more than the same month of 2024.
United Kingdom was the main country of residence, with just over a million tourists and an increase of 4.7% compared to November 2024. France 695,770 tourists arrived (7.4% less) and 667,931 German tourists (2.7% more). The main emitting countries in the first 11 months were the United Kingdom (with almost 18.2 million and an increase of 3.9%), France (with almost 12.1 million and a decrease of 0.5%) and Germany (with more than 11.4 million, an increase of 0.9%).
The number of tourists using commercial accommodation as their main mode increased by 4.4% year-on-year. Within this type, hotel accommodation increased by 6.1% while rental accommodation decreased by 1.9%. Non-market accommodation decreased by 5.6%.
