
Around 11:35 a.m. (Brasilia time), the Dow Jones index lost 0.10%, to 48,009.00 points, the S&P 500 increased by 0.58%, to 6,885.38 points, and the Nasdaq advanced by 1.12%, to 23,503.829 points. The technology (+1.38%) and communications (+1.06%) sectors led the gains, while energy (-0.42%) and healthcare (-0.42%) saw the biggest losses.
Among the highlights, chipmaker stocks were at the center of the gains, with Micron Technology up 5.83%, along with AMD (+4.39%), Intel (+3.55%) and Nvidia (+2.13%). Tesla is up 0.97%, despite announcing this morning that the number of deliveries in the fourth quarter was lower than that expected by the market.
